SMM DotA Tournament
GR has not yet decide how many teams or which team will participate in the SMM DotA State Qualifier.

Trainings for Upcoming Tournaments
GR's new Training Season will start in Mid July. Although it's kinda late, but obstacles had made it hard. The best to the GR Representatives!

GR's Counter Strike team Died in 2008.
But now it's time to bring it back!

Due to the amount of Junior Players who we recruited as the next batch of GR Representatives, it's time for them to experience the gaming environment.

Team GR'Junior [GR'J] will now be a team formed to play in a pub level first to build Teamwork and understanding about it. When it's time, they will be exposed to draft games and more.

I hope all our friends would help us to make this team a better team =)

Yup! We are going! GR.xDt aren't going as there is some players who are busy due to School's Sports Day. Anyway, 2 players from GR.xDt joined in [GR] for this epic tournament.

As [GR]'s roster had changed, we hope to see a better show. Hoping the new potential peeps could do some difference to the Team. See all our friends who are competing as well this Friday!

GR.xDt was also known as GR2 in Cyberline's 2009 Tournament. Firstly, the team was made for a test, and since it had put up a great show, finally a new stable group is formed. Hope that the this team, the second team can be better in future.

The return of Kenpachi
As an ex-GR, he left GR for some issue in 2008 and had joined a few to come out with OMG. But now, he is back to GR to do what he is supposed to do. Hope to see more actions from him in the team.

Roster Changed!
Due to the new formation of new Team and a few potential players recruited/came back, finally we balanced out the players between two teams. So there would be a slight roster change between this two GR Teams.

Spending time with Computers had let the players in GR team to be more familiar with computers. Now, we would like to have designing as part of our Merchandise Activities.

Although we could not receive big projects for now as we are still new.
But we are glad if there are people that are willing to give us a try.

*Delivery Services or such are not included. Paypal or any other online payment or bank transfer are not accepted as we are not an official company. We are a group of designers who are willing to do some stuffs to pass our time usefully.

The purpose of the Pass (In The Team) :-
To ensure better management. Members will know it's time to be serious when the pass is worn. In GR, most of us are friends and would act like friends. So when the pass is on, things got serious . It's just to show that we must be serious when we put on the pass. No stupid jokes.

The purpose of the Pass (To Public) :-
As all of you know that we GR, we only have 1 shirt per-member. Sometimes, their shirt are unavailable. So, to represent without a shirt is by using the pass.

My Pass

The leader, Mc.KinTosh has now changed the tittle "Team Leader" into "Team Manager" as he thinks that managing the team is much different than leading the team.

A new Team Captain will be formed to lead the teams in GR but the whole team will still be managed by the Team Manager.

Gamers Republic being Inactive

Due to some issues, GR Team wouldn't be joining any upcoming event until further notice. The team has no Team Issues that causes Troubles to the team and so the Team Remains without any disturbance. We are hoping to resume our Gaming Activities this coming June 2009. Trainings with other teams will still be held once in awhile.

Due to ESWC Delayed, T.R.U.E Sports had organized a DotA Tournament "T.R.U.E Sports Cup" on 24th April 2009 at The Spring Mall, Kuching.

ESWC 2009 General Regulations Overview

* Players and clubs must be duly registered on www.eswc.com and must have subscribed to a 2009 season’s license.
* Players must have the nationality of the preliminary’s country they will represent. If the preliminary covers more than one country, players must have the nationality of one country represented in the preliminary.
* For a player with more than one nationality, the nationality will be defined by the country of the first preliminary tournament the player attends. After the choice, players cannot change the country they represent during the season.
* Teams have to determine their nationalities and, in consequence, play the preliminaries of the country they represent. A team’s nationality is determined by the majority of all players’ nationalities. In the case of teams of 5 players, the majority is three or more players of the same nationality. Accepted nationality compositions: 5/0, 4/1, 3/2 or 3/1/1. A team of 5, without at least 3 players of the same nationality will not be eligible for ESWC Grand Final.
* Players must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the ESWC 2009 Grand Final.

Creation of the “Defending Champion” rule

* For individual games, selected as ESWC official disciplines, winners of ESWC Grand Finals are granted of an autoberth to attend to the succeeding edition. This autoberth is granted to the natural person only and will not be transferable in any case.

* For games played in team, selected as ESWC official disciplines, winning teams of ESWC Grand Finals are granted of an autoberth to attend to the succeeding edition. This autoberth is granted to the club officially registered to the Grand Final and will not be transferable. To apply to the defending champion autoberth, the club will have to include in its team’s line-up, for the Grand Final, a majority of players who have won the previous edition. In the case of teams of 5 players, the majority is three or more players.
o If the granted club cannot confirm its team’s line-up, 60 days before the ESWC Grand Final, with a majority of players that have won the previous edition, the Defending Champion autoberth is definitely canceled.
o If the winning team’s club doesn’t exist anymore 60 days before the ESWC Grand Final, and if ALL the players who have won the previous edition are registered in another team’s club on www.eswc.com, then the Defending Champion autoberth is granted to this club. (This rule is not applicable if the original club still has a team playing competitions).

Defending Champions for ESWC Grand Final 2009 will be, in consequence, confirmed early May.

This is something we did as first for co-curriculum marks but finally feeling good and had fun with it. Something we should try it everyday.

GR-Odysee (Team Manager) when reaching the Salvation Army Association. We were suspected by the workers there as some gangsters trying to look for trouble when we actually intended to do some charity work.

Kid thinks that he can't do chores at all. First impression to the kids there was that we are some rich guys who are trying to mess things up there. But they come to realise that we are actually helping them and they started to get friendly with us.


First thing we did there. Washing the floor. Another teenage girl there asked us wheather we know how to clean the floor or not. Funny case.

Now you understand why the workers there thought we are some street kids trying to mess up the place.

Job's finishing! This is the fun part as everyone is communicating well. The kids there are nice and funny. Infact, more socialized compared to us who have perfect living.

Salvation Army's Children gone through a lot of Life Experiences. It's glad we went there and have a look at their lifestyle. Everything is same except that their home was the Salvation Army instead of a real home like us. From there, they learn more about life and independence. Going to the school every morning and receive special tuition class in the night time. Doing chores and contributions during the afternoon. This clean-up was done every Thursday. We're all impressed with the way they get things done. Fully experienced and skillful in life. Had a little chat with them while visiting and they are really friendly and funny. Their jokes are natural without trying to cause any conflicts. It is proven that, their lifestyles had made them better people.

For those who never contribute to the Salvation Army, do some charity work there now and you'll understand. If they are Gamers in Kuching, then Kuching would be a place filled with Determined Gamers and Strong minded.

GR Team from St Joseph Secondary School is merged with OMG Team from Arang Road Secondary School on 15th of February 2009.

From now on, OMG Team would be part of us. Hoping together we could make Gaming World a better place to be.

Although we did not made it all the way to the finals or anything, it was the event at which we gained most experience. Our drafter, [GR]Sty'x was not in the photo and I have no Idea why. We were "exhausted" playing 3 matches in a row and especially the 3rd match which is only 15 minutes after the 2nd leaving us not much time to plan for the next. Our subs was not able to make it in time so our performance was not really sastifying. Lastly, congratulations to the teams that made it into the second day.

Our first event would be the Lunar New Year competition Held at Gizmo Gamers Sarawak, Kuching. Hope this would warm us up for more upcoming 2009 competitions/tournaments.
